Willene Stiefel, 88 of Rainsville, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bud Durham and Rev. Lee Earl Thompson officiated. Interment followed at Green’s Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Stiefel is survived by his sons, Larry (Wanda) Stiefel, of Fort Payne, Kenneth (Sue) Stiefel, of Section; and Dewayne Stiefel, of Rainsville; daughters, Jo (Morrell) White, Carolyn (Sammy) Abernathy, Glenda (David) Scott, all of Fort Payne, and Brenda (Darrell) Townson, of Rainsville; sisters, Louise Allen, of Ga., Inez Veal, of Tenn., Lone Thornberry, of Fort Payne, Wynell Gann, of Ider, and Joan Blevins, of Eufaula; 18 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. Mrs. Stiefel was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Stiefel; son, A.L. Stiefel; parents, Lother and Leila Greene; and brother, Fred Greene.
