James Lewis “Pig” Stewart, 76 of Stevenson, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012. Funeral services were held Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Rudder Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Gene Voss officiated. Interment followed at the Longacre Cemetery.

Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife, Janice Marie Bradford Stewart; daughters, Amy (Cecil) Summers, of Stevenson, and Julia (Wade) Atkins, of Scottsboro; grandchildren, Meagan Rodgers, Matthew Rodgers, Olivia Atkins, Emily Atkins and Madison Atkins; siblings, Homer Lee (Mae) Stewart, Jr. of Hollywood, Edward (Joyce) Stewart, of Scottsboro, and Jean McCrary, of Stevenson; and a host of other relatives. Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Mary Elizabeth Matthews Stewart; an infant son, Jacob Wade Atkins; and sister, Sarah Catherine Stewart.
