Lillie Mae Cookston Long, 82 of Stevenson, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012. Funeral services were held Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Rudder Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Rev. J. B. Jones officiated. Interment followed in Old Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Cookston is survived by her children, Emma (Tony) King, of Tenn., Danny Long and Tommy Long, both of Stevenson; grandchildren, Craig (Stacey) Lewis, Karen (Stacy) Kirk, Chris (Kathy) Moore and Kim King , all of Stevenson; Jonathan King and Rachel King, both of Tenn.; siblings, Charles David Cookston and Hazel Whitaker, of Stevenson, Mary Ann Maynor, of Bridgeport, Linda Faye Miller, of S.C., Herbert Steve (Faye) Cookston, of Scottsboro; and a host of other relatives. Mrs. Cookston was preceded in death by her husband, Espern Thomas Long; children, Kenneth Moore, Mary Lewis, Josie Lee Long; grandson, Kenneth Moore, Jr.; parents, James Steve and Mary Jane Wilson Cookston; and brother, Edward Cookston.
