Greetings from We Care, Inc. - 02/22/12

Have you ever heard people referred to as “do-gooders” or “bleeding hearts”?
I’ve been trying to decide how I would best describe these people who have been given glib nicknames.

I would describe them as someone who cares.  That is number one and foremost.  Some people just can’t seem to do enough for the Lord and some people just can’t seem to understand why they do it. Sometimes we don’t trust what we don’t understand, so we criticize.

I understand do-gooders and bleeding hearts.  My heart bleeds every time I see someone so sick he can’t hold his head up.  It bleeds for the poor and broken-hearted, the handicapped, the homeless, the people who live without any love in their lives.  My heart bleeds for all the hurting people around us.

I have patience with them.  We have to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes to understand their situation and until we do we should not be quick to judge.  Most do-gooders and bleeding hearts do what they do because they can’t help it. When the Lord calls they answer without even thinking twice about it.  It’s an important part of their life.  You see, they understand life as our Lord would have them understand it.  They care not if anyone knows about it.  They don’t advertise it to the world.  They just do it.  They know it and God knows it and that is all that matters to them.

So take heart all you do-gooders and bleeding hearts.  What would the world do without you.  Keep up the good work and you will someday be known as God’s Children.
