Cantaloupe and Peach Cobbler

Here is a very different dessert that I  love. You cannot taste the cantaloupe but it gives a great twist to the cobbler. Try it and I do think that you will enjoy it. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to it!
Enjoy!
Shirley

Ingredients:
2 pie crusts, cut into strips
2 ½ cups of sugar
¼ cup of water
2 Tablespoons of flour
9 peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
½ cantaloupe, peeled, gutted, and cut into small cubes
2 Tablespoons of butter
1 ½ teaspoons of ground nutmeg, divided
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon of cloves

Directions:
Heat oven to 375°. In a saucepan, heat sugar, water, flour, and butter. Stir well. Add in peaches and cantaloupe. Add in ½ of nutmeg and cloves. Stir well and bring to a boil. Turn down to medium heat and add one pie crust strips to mixture. Cook for 5 minutes. Pour into a 9x13 casserole dish. Add strips across the top with the second pie crust. Sprinkle the top with brown sugar, nutmeg, and cloves. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes. Take the foil off and continue to bake for 10 minutes. Serve with ice cream.
