Traffic stop leads to drug arrests


Around 1:45 a.m. on March 7 Scottsboro Police Officers stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of East Willow for a traffic violation.
According to Scottsboro Police Department Lt. Scott Matthews items consistent with those used to manufacture methamphetamine were found in the vehicle resulting in the arrest of Donnie Sparkman, 45 of Henagar, Lonnie Walters, Jr., 37 of Henagar and Latricia Lay, 18 of Henagar.
All three were charged with first degree manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and taken to the Jackson County Jail.
