Woman arrested for trafficking methamphetamine

Carla Camelia Mars, 38 of Fyffe, has been arrested and charged with second degree promoting prison contraband and trafficking methamphetamine.

According to Jackson County Sheriff Chuck Phillips, Mars was picked up by Powell Police Department for a Jackson County warrant for probation violation. Phillips said that while Mars was being booked into jail two ounces of methamphetamine were found on her person. 

Phillips stated that DEA had been contacted about pursuing federal charges.
