Adam Haislip, 30 of Scottsboro and Michael Shavers, 35 of Hollywood were arrested after the Scottsboro Police Department  executed  a search warrant at a local motel.

According to Scottsboro Police Department Lt. Scott Matthews, information was received about someone possibly manufacturing methamphetamine in a motel room.

Matthews said a search warrant was obtained and executed in the room. Items consistent with manufacturing methamphetamine and a small amount of meth were located in the room. 

Both men were charged with first degree manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and were taken to the Jackson County Jail. 

  A cleanup crew was called to dispose of the hazardous materials.
