The 8th Annual Scottsboro Jackson County Rescue 10K Fishing tournament will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Goose Pond.

The tournament is the rescue squad’s largest fund raiser.
Blast off will be from safe daylight, weigh in will begin at 2 p.m.
Entry fee will be $140 per boat on the day of the tournament, $120 if paid by March 15. There will also be an optional $10 Big Fish Pot.
The Scottsboro Jackson County Rescue Squad was organized in 1960. The 36 member organization consists strictly of volunteers. Many of the rescue squad members have volunteered their time for more than 25 years.
They provide the rescue services for caving and hunting accidents, search for lost or missing people, water search, rescue and recovery and storm relief as well as assisting law enforcement throughout the county when needed.
The rescue squad is part of a state organization, the Alabama Association of Rescue Squads and assists surrounding counties as well as state wide events when needed.
While the rescue squad does receive some funds from the city, county and state delegation representatives, fund raisers are needed to defray costs of its mission of rescue, search and recovery.
The tournament entry form may be found on the Scottsboro Jackson County Rescue Squad Facebook page.
Entry forms may be mailed to P.O. Box 1115, Scottsboro, AL 35768. For more information, e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
