Listen to the blood of Christ

In an interesting paragraph of Hebrews Chapter 12, the writer attributes to the blood of Christ the power of speech.  Hebrews 12:22-24 (NKJV) ²²But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, ²³to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, ²⁴ to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.”
This speech is not a verbal language, but rather a clear message that the Blood of Christ accomplishes more than Abel’s shed blood.  Christ’s blood sprinkles one’s conscience from dead works to serve the Living God (Hebrews 9:14; 1 Peter 1:2).  Abel’s blood called for vengeance as it cried unto God from the ground (Gen 4:10 KJV).  Christ’s blood opens the way for men to be “purged” of sin:
(Heb 1:3 KJV) “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”
Heb 9:14 (KJV) “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”
Christ’s blood speaks a message that men need to hear and believe for their own good both now and eternally.  The blood of Christ reveals God’s love for man.  God’s love prompted Him to send His Son to be a “propitiation” for the sins of man.  (1 John 4:9-10 KJV) “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
God commended His love to man in letting His Son die for the sins of mankind.  (Rom 5:6-9 KJV) “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet per adventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”
The blood of Christ tells of the active principles of God’s love.  God’s love gives.  (John 3:16 KJV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  God’s love manifests itself,  (1 John 4:9 KJV) “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.”  God’s love is infinite, (Eph 3:19 KJV) And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.”
Indeed the blood of Christ is a powerful message from God through Christ!
