If so, Crisis Services of North Alabama in Scottsboro needs you!
We need volunteers to manage the office, staff the reception desk, greet clients, maintain organization, answer phones, prepare mailings and copies and even occasionally participate in community events.
You can benefit from giving your time as a volunteer by:

2. Helping another person just by your comforting presence.
3. Enjoying the satisfaction of knowing that you make a difference every day by contributing to the well-being of others.
4. Giving something positive back to make your community a better place to live.

Some frequently asked questions are:
What if I don’t know anything about advising people in a crisis?  Our training classes prepare you to handle the kinds of calls we receive and we provide staff backup at all times.
What will I learn in CSNA trainings?  Our training classes are designed to teach you essential helping skills, along with knowledge about community resources and the problem areas of domestic violence, sexual assault, and suicide.
How flexible can my volunteer schedule be?  We will work with you to develop a schedule that is convenient for you within normal business hours 8:30-4, Monday through Friday.
Are there any special requirements? All staff and volunteers must be at least 18. You must pass a criminal background check and obtain DHR clearance to be able to work in our office. You also need be a team player!
How should I dress?  Business casual is normal work attire for our office.
What can I expect each day to be like?  Great question! Expect the unexpected! It’s rarely a dull day at CSNA- just come with a big smile, team spirit and a positive attitude.
