The Jackson County Voters League will sponsor a fun day at Carver Park beginning at 11 a.m.. The fun day will consist of softball games, relay games, bingo, etc. and last but not least delicious food will be sold. This event is for all ages from kids to adults.

The Knight of Columbus Council 7679 and the American Red Cross will host a blood Drive at St. Jude Catholic Church Family Life Center from noon until 5 p.m.

Grace Baptist Church in Scottsboro will host the Hopewell Men’s Choir from Huntsville on Sunday, May 26 at 5:30 p.m.

At 9:30 a.m. members of the VFW Post 6073 and American Legion Post 30 will place wreaths at the Veteran Memorials at the northwest corner of the court house. The Memorial Day program will follow beginning at 10:45 a.m. at Collins Elementary Auditorium. Judge Bob Hodges will be the keynote speaker. After the program refreshments will be served at the Post Home across from the fairgrounds.

American Legion Post 30, and their Auxiliary, will hold monthly membership meeting at the Veterans Home in Scottsboro. Meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. and meetings will begin at 6:30. All members are encouraged to attend. For more information call 256-218-3033.

Medicine on the Move will be at the Stevenson Senior Center from 9 until 11 a.m. for free glucose and cholesterol screenings and oxygen level, heart rate and blood pressure checks.

A gospel singing will be held at Hytop Park to benefit Hytop Cemetery on Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m. Hotdogs will be served at 5:30 p.m. and donations will be accepted. The singing will include Heritage, Steadfast, Mercy’s Bridge and Doyle McLain. For more information call 256-587-9098.
