Scottsboro Police make child pornography arrest

As a result of an ongoing investigation, the Scottsboro Police Department recently arrested and charged Scott Corbitt, age 48 of Scottsboro,  with soliciting the production of child pornography, and soliciting the dissemination of child pornography.


Summer Youth Theater Workshop held

The 2014 Summer Youth Theatre Workshop at Northeast Alabama Community College recently gave 37 youths ranging in age from 10 to 15 some hands-on experience in the college’s renowned Theatre Department.


Durham named VP and manager at First Southern - Scottsboro

Mike Ellenburg, President and Chief Executive Officer at First Southern State Bank, last week announced that veteran banker Mike Durham has joined the bank and will serve as Vice President and Branch Manager in Scottsboro.


Music on the Mountain

Northeast Alabama Community College will host its annual Music on the Mountain event on September 13, 2014, beginning at 4 p.m. in the Tom Bevill Lyceum on campus. 


Fiber optic technician training to be held at NACC

Northeast Alabama Community College, in partnership with BDI DataLynk, will provide fiber optic training courses beginning Monday, November 10, 2014.
