Can Restocking Guntersville Become a Viable Alternative?

After almost a year now of working to come up with ideas that will ensure the continued improvement of Lake Guntersville, listening to several biologist talk about the difficulty of restocking I have formed an opinion. My opinion, my thoughts and my conclusion is that regardless of the negative results biologists have restocking large impoundments I still believe we need to move forward on restocking plans.

After weeks of training, and practicing, the Scottsboro Wildcats will  get the opportunity to face an opponent  this week.

   

The Fall Crank Bait Bite

If history repeats itself the fall can be the best time of year for cranking your favorite spot on the lake. There has been no presentation for me produce more fish in numbers during the fall than a crank bait. It’s safe to say that 100 fish a day is a pretty good possibility using crank baits near and around the grass ledges.  

   

Cats kick off season two under Coach Morris

The Scottsboro Wildcats kicked off football practice last week in preparation for the 2011 season.
This season marks the second under head coach Swane Morris  for the Wildcats.

   

With a Little Thought August can be the Best Month on Guntersville

Every year when it is hot, sticky and muggy the fishing really picks up on Guntersville if you just fish the right patterns. There are a few things that August brings into play and if you use the grass and heat to your advantage you can really have some great times in this heat.
