Summertime fishing tips

Some of the toughest days of fishing are ahead of us as we see the water temperature soar close to 90 degrees. There are some things that I like to do when temperatures becomes nearly unbearable during the heat of the summer and there are some things that we should all be aware of when it comes to summer-time fishing.

 

SSA looks to win fourth straight title

The Scottsboro Swim Association’s Wet’n’Wildcats are looking to bring home their fourth consecutive state title this season. The roster will be a little different this year than it has been for the last few seasons due to some of the former swimmers graduating.

   

Fish with confidence

Have you ever seen a professional athlete that was not just beaming over with confidence; you must believe in yourself and your process to be a good fisherman. It is no different whether you are a fisherman, football player or a computer repair person. No matter what you do, you must have confidence in yourself to be good at it and fishing needs or requires the same self engine to be successful.

   

NJCAA tournament draws to end

The South Mountain Community College took home the NJCAA Division II national championship last week at Goose Pond Colony.

   

Coach says Lady Wildcats look more comfortable during spring camps

Coach Derek Wynn led the Scottsboro Lady Cats basketball team to a 15-11 record in his first year as head coach last season, and is already eager to get the new season underway.
