Regions Ron Poteat, North Alabama Area Executive, has named Gail Moore Jackson County Market President     “Gail has a proven record in banking,” Poteat said. “She is an accomplished banker, well recognized for her talent and commitment to serving customers in both business and the community.”    

Moore brings 21 years of experience to her new role. She has spent a majority of that time as a branch manager in the Scottsboro market, and since 1991, she has served Regions as marketing manager and customer service manager. She is a graduate from the University of North Alabama with as BS in finance and a graduate of Northeast Alabama Community College with an AS in business.  Gail is also a graduate of Alabama Banking School and The School of Bank Marketing and Management at the University of Colorado, Boulder.  She is a graduate of Bridgeport High School.    

Ron Poteat added, “Jackson County is a strong market for us. Moore will provide the management presence and leadership necessary to continue to our growth and expand our tradition of community leadership, excellent customer service and sound banking.”      

Gail Moore is active in the Jackson County community and currently serves on the board of directors for the following Organizations: Greater Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, Better Future for Everyone, Kate Duncan Smith DAR School and she is the founder of Jackson County Youth Leadership.  She is also a past chairperson for Leadership Jackson County and a former director of Alabama Banking School in Mobile, Alabama.  Gail is also a chairperson of Drop Everything and Read (Scottsboro Rotary Club) and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Moore was recognized in 2011 by The Daily Sentinel as the People’s Choice winner for Best Banker, in 1997 by Jackson / DeKalb Distinguished Young Woman of the Year and Outstanding Young Banker for the state of Alabama in 1996.  

Gail has many hobbies including photography, bass fishing, reading and genealogy.  She is married to Joe Moore and is a resident of Scottsboro, Alabama.

Regions Bank has 2 offices in greater Jackson County.  Gail Moore will be located in the main office at 510 East Laurel Street in Scottsboro.
