Cats fall to Southside, 24-21

The Scottsboro Wildcats first home game of the 2011 season was exciting.

Unfortunately, the excitement faded as the Wildcats couldn’t score on their final drive to overcome a three-point deficit.

The 24-21 loss to Southside dropped the Wildcats’ record to 1-2 for the season and 1-1 in region play.

The Wildcats will now set their sights on region opponent Boaz this week.

Scottsboro will be back on the road to face the Pirates on Friday night. Boaz is 1-2 this season. Its only win came in week two versus
Madison County.

Kickoff for Friday night’s game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Boaz High School.
